What NetSuite is genuinely best at
Multi-subsidiary consolidation. If you run several legal entities, in more than one currency, and closing the books means a fortnight of spreadsheet reconciliation, this is the problem NetSuite solves better than anything else at its price point.
That is a narrow claim, and deliberately so. Businesses buying NetSuite for reasons other than consolidated financials often find they have bought an expensive general ERP where a cheaper one would have done.
Renewal pricing is the thing to negotiate hardest
NetSuite is sold on subscription, and renewal is where the commercial pain usually appears rather than at first purchase. Uplifts at renewal are a well-documented feature of the product and a common complaint among long-term customers.
Negotiate multi-year terms and cap renewal increases in the original contract, before you have migrated your finance function onto the platform and lost your leverage. This is worth more attention than the first-year discount.
Advanced Manufacturing is a separate module
A frequent source of surprise. Base NetSuite handles assembly at a basic level; genuine production scheduling, work orders and routings sit in the Advanced Manufacturing module, licensed separately.

The customisation trap
SuiteScript is powerful and the developer pool is small and expensive. Every customisation you commission becomes something only a specialist can maintain, and specialists in this ecosystem are neither cheap nor abundant.
We scope NetSuite work to stay inside standard configuration wherever the standard behaviour is merely inconvenient rather than genuinely unworkable, precisely because the maintenance cost of custom SuiteScript compounds.

How long does a NetSuite implementation take?
Most NetSuite rollouts we scope run 6–14 weeks from kickoff to go-live, depending on how many modules you switch on and how clean your existing data is. Data migration is almost always the long pole, not configuration.
What does a NetSuite implementation cost?
Implementation is quoted separately from vendor licensing. We scope in fixed-price phases so you approve each one before it starts, rather than signing a single open-ended estimate.
Is NetSuite the right fit for us?
Sometimes not — and we will tell you when that is the case. Among the most expensive options here, and renewal pricing escalates If another platform fits your process better, we will say so on the scoping call.
